the little red dog on the right I made from my husband's old cheap dollar store gloves.
both have buttons from the respective men's clothes.
my little dog has part of the broken strap from my Dragon's bivy bag from the Marine Corps. and one of his Purple Heart ribbons.
they are my trial runs.
big gray dog has gone to his home but for a short while, they sat together and shared stories. they were buddies.

This is so coincidental! Yesterday, I was dropping off stuff at the storage shed and my eyes fell on a large plastic bag full of my husband's old socks. I kept some of the brown and grey ones with the intention of making teddy bears out of them!
For me, my husband's shoes and socks were hard to part with because he had stood in them and walked in the world wearing them. That is why I kept some of his socks and wanted to make something out of them.
Your samples are adorable and are inspiring me to make my sock bears sometime in the future when I have more free time. Maybe I'll be making those sock bears for my future grandchildren!
=o} <~~ little smile for everyone.
Grey sock puppy says hello!
I do love them. They have brought me sweet dreams of my husband and sweet comfort!
These are terrific! I've always wanted to make some of these:
