how did i get here?

my husband, my beautiful Dragon, died suddenly at 12:03 AM on 9 February 2009. there was a cold, lovely full moon and 3 feet of snow on the ground. i "slept" for the following 10 months and "woke" to the physical and emotional pain and torments of deep grief. i "woke" to find i had moved the day of his funeral and that i am lost. i am looking for me while i figure out the abstract, unanswerable questions that follow behind any death. my art has evolved. his death changed that as well because i am forever changed and will forever bear the mark of losing the only man i can ever love.
there is alive and there is dead and there is a place in between. i am here wholly in my heart for my children, but i feel empty inside at this time. i miss him. i have not gotten very far in my grief journey. i make no apologies for this.
this is my place, my blog, where i write to tell the universe that i am still here.

Bunny has pneumonia

that's all. just letting everyone know.

i hit a severe crisis last night. could not breathe. my daughter took me into an Urgent Care. i was diagnosed with pneumonia. i got two shots for free, a hand out of anti-nausea pills, and a script for antibiotics.

the doctor even gave Bun a note to take to work when she returns. her lovely daughter called her store and told them everything. they said, "she, of all people, do not have to worry about keeping her job." what a relief. now i can go crawl onto the sofa and work on getting well.

i just wanted to let everyone know.

So relieved to hear that you have gotten medical attention! It was also great to hear that you now can rest and recover knowing that your job is secure! What a relief for you. I hope you are up and about soon. Sandy/Ct.

Good to hear that you got medical attention - and that you can take some time off work to get well.

Please take care and don't push yourself to get back out too soon. Give Bunny a hug for me.

I am so glad you got the antibiotics, NOW you will get well. Nice of the store to tell your daughter that--makes you feel good that they love you so much and recognize your hard work.
